Health and Safety Policy Statement

Calor understands and accepts its responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act
to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of its employees,
customers and others with whom we come into contact.

As a responsible Company, Calor is committed to providing safe systems of work, necessary
information, equipment, resources and competent people so that our operations are
conducted safely to the benefit of our employees, contractors and customers.

We assess and eliminate, wherever possible, the risks associated with any work that we do.
Calor’s management has specific responsibilities for developing and implementing safe
systems of work for and communicating health and safety matters to all who report to them as
well as taking action on concerns and suggestions.

Each of us has a statutory duty to act responsibly in regard to our own health and safety and
in relation to others with whom we come into contact. Calor expects all employees and
contractors to co-operate with us by following our safe systems of work and identifying any
hazards they see in the course of their work. We will provide appropriate training for all
employees and contractors so that they may work safely.

We have ensured that Health and Safety matters are given the highest priority in the
operation of Calor’s business. The overall responsibility for Health and Safety in the Company
rests with the Managing Director who together with other members of the Executive
Management team regular review Calor’s health and safety performance. A Safety, Health
and Environment Manager reporting to the Operations Director and managing a team of
Health and Safety Advisors provides specialist guidance and where necessary additional
expert advice is provided.

We have put in place a structure of Safety, Health and Environment Committees for
employees to raise, discuss and improve any issues concerned with health and safety. A
policy document further describing Calor’s Health and Safety management systems
developed in accordance with H&SE’s Guidance HS(G) 65 is provided to all staff and available
to other 3rd parties. This is regularly reviewed and developed to reflect legislative and
business needs.

In order to look after our customers, we must look after our most valuable asset, our
people. Calor’s policy is that health and safety is of paramount importance; we rely on
your co-operation and commitment to continually reduce injuries, ill-health and
unnecessary losses and so enhance our Health and Safety performance and that of the
Company as a result.
